Welcome to Portal Select Sports, where we specialize in providing a platform for all collegiate athletes to perform in front of NCAA coaches. Our primary focus is on giving talented athletes who may lack national exposure an opportunity to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams at the next level. At Portal Select Sports, we understand that not every athlete in the transfer portal has a medium to display their abilities, which is why we aim to bridge the gap by offering exclusive combine showcases. Our goal is to empower student athletes by providing them with the tools and exposure they need to advance both their educational and athletic careers. We will also educate the student athletes on NIL and building their brand.

Registration is completed on our website. Select your position and the showcase date you wish to participate in. Once payment is submitted a team member from Portal Select Sports will contact you to complete your Prospect Sheet.

After registering to a showcase, a Portal Select Sports team member will contact you to complete your Prospect Sheet. They will gather the following Information: Height, Weight, Age, Current School, GPA and Contact Information. They will also answer any questions you have.
If you're a Pitcher the fee is $800 and the fee for all other positions will be $1,200. This will include both days of the Showcase.
Portal Select Sports is an exclusive showcase with NCAA Coaches attending. We only take 40 players per showcase.
Both days are split into 2 parts. During the day players will participate in skill drills and in the afternoon players will play in games.
Portal Select Sports will be providing athletic trainers for both days and they will also be providing a rehydration center for players to rest and recover. Sports drinks, power bars and an assortment of fresh fruits will be provided for all players.
All players are responsible for their own travel expenses and their equipment. Nearby hotels are within a few miles from each park.
Is a former college coach and former player. He was the head coach of the Florida International University (FIU) baseball team, a position that he held from 1980 until May 2007. During that span, he recorded 1,086 coaching victories at FIU and 299 career wins at Miami Dade College. He was then head coach at Miami Dade College from 2011 until his retirement in 2019. Kyle Prats is a talented athlete hailing from Miami, Florida. He began his journey in the world of baseball at Christopher Columbus High School, where he honed his skills as an outfielder. Graduating in the Class of 2011, Kyle left a mark on the baseball program with his exceptional abilities on the field.
After high school, Kyle continued his baseball career at Miami Dade College. He played for Coach Price at MDC where a great bond and a mutual admiration was formed. In 2013, he proudly graduated from the college, armed with a wealth of experience and knowledge gained through rigorous training and competition. During his time at Miami Dade, Kyle's team emerged as the Southern Conference Champions, showcasing their remarkable talent and dedication to the sport.
Driven by his passion for the game, Kyle went on to pursue higher education at Campbell University, where he graduated in 2015. During his time at Campbell, he achieved yet another milestone as his team clinched the prestigious title of Big South Champions and participants in the Regional NCAA in South Carolina
When it comes to his collegiate statistics, Kyle's numbers speak for themselves. With an impressive batting average of .332, he consistently displayed his prowess at the plate, making valuable contributions to his team's success. Additionally, his on-base percentage (OBP) stood at an impressive .450, reflecting his ability to get on base and contribute to scoring opportunities. Kyle ran the 60 yard dash in 6.3 seconds.
Kyle Prats is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and a deep love for the game of baseball. His time at Christopher Columbus High School, Miami Dade College, and Campbell University have molded him into a skilled and accomplished outfielder, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of collegiate baseball.
Mark Shives is a former baseball player and coach with an impressive record of accomplishments. He played for the Kalamazoo Kodiak Pro Ball in 1997, and before that, he attended Florida International University from 1995 to 1997 and Hagerstown Community College from 1993 to 1995.
Shives' coaching career began in 1997 when he served as the pitching coach for Florida Christian and as an associate scout for the Seattle Mariners. Shives was assistant coach at Florida International from 97-2001. Coaching in 4 Regionals Shives coached on the 2000 Regional Championship team at South Bend. In 2002, he became the varsity baseball coach at Clear Spring High, a position he held until 2022. During his time there, he led the team to five conference titles, three regional championships, and one state title. Shives was also named Area Coach of the Year four times, Regional State Finalist Coach of the Year twice, and State Finalist Coach of the Year twice.
In addition to coaching Clear Spring High, Shives also founded KMS Baseball Academy in 2004, which has produced over 100 college graduates, 20 professional players, and three big league players. He also served as the 16 U National Team Pithing Director and Head Coach for the East Coast Royals from 2014 to 2022 . Shives was the Head Coach of the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox from 2005 to 2014. Shives was a professional scout for the Kansas City Royals from 2005 to 2022 and served as the pitching coach for Team USA's 15U and 16U National Teams as well as the Pan Am Championship and World Championship teams from 2014 to 2019.
Shives' coaching career isn't limited to baseball; he also served as the varsity basketball coach at Clear Spring High from 2004 to 2011. With his extensive experience as both a player and coach, Mark Shives is undoubtedly one of the most accomplished and respected figures in baseball coaching today.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1974, Joe Rodriguez was raised in Cayey, Puerto Rico. He attended Indian Hills Community College in Iowa on a baseball scholarship, participating in the JUCO World Series for two consecutive years (1993-1994). Afterwards, he received a scholarship at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. At FIU, he achieved recognition as the NCAA Pitcher of the Year in 1996. Following his college years, he was selected in the 1997 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. He played at the Major League level in 2000 alongside notable players like Mark McGuire, Albert Pujols, and Eric Davis. He later joined the Minnesota Twins, playing alongside David Ortiz, Tory Hunter, and Johan Santana. Throughout his baseball career, he also played for organizations such as the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, Baltimore Orioles, and Cleveland Indians. He had experiences playing in Taiwan and the Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League, where he played alongside notable Puerto Rican players. After retiring, Joe ran a baseball facility called Raiders Baseball Academy, focusing on teaching the game to children and young adults.
